JOB TITLE: SPECIALS OPERATIONS

DEPARTMENT: CLIENT SERVICES

SUPERVISOR’S TITLE:    Director, Brand and Business Development

 

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The Special Operations team member will be responsible for supporting the Account Management Team, receiving teams, and client submission process.  The Special Operations Specialist will be responsible for data entry and matching of data, responding to client emails, and conducting special reporting and data management.  There will be client interaction as well as support to other office staff.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: 

  • Document control for internal procedures
  • Data entry and matching of soils, feeds, plants and manures
  • Proofing manures
  • Answer email request form client services team and directly from the clients
  • Monitor auto-emails regarding issued reports (i.e. formats, checking errors, rescanning subforms)
  • Edit, add-on, merge and split reports for client file copy
  • Conduct special reporting (Florida Dept of Ag, STA’s, REMS update)
  • Miscellaneous data entry (grain sizes, bulk density, textures)
  • Manually adding any data from the labs to reports after results are available
  • Troubleshooting reports

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

 

Knowledge and skills:

  • Good communication skills
  • Advanced data analysis using Excel or similar program
  • Strong computer knowledge
  • Strong foundation knowledge of the Midwest Laboratories (MWL) test packages
  • Team player
  • Ability to learn new technology and systems quickly

 

Experience:

  • Data entry experience a plus.
  • Minimum 6 months in Client Services role with MWL

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Physical dexterity sufficient to use hands, arms and shoulders repetitively to operate a keyboard and other office equipment
  • Ability to speak and hear well enough to communicate clearly and understandably with sufficient volume to ensure accurate exchange of information in normal conversational distance, over the phone and in group setting
  • Ability to continuously operate a personal computer for extended periods of time (6 or more hours)
  • Mental acuity sufficient to collect and interpret data, evaluate reason, define problems, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, make valid judgement and decisions
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 15 pounds
