Germs and RestaurantsCheck out this study. Germs were found on items that we typically do not think of:

Chairs, Menus, Ketchup bottles and Salt & Pepper Shakers

Germs can come from three places: respiratory, skin and feces

To protect yourself, sit down, place the order, wash hands after touching the menu. Inspect your tableware and silverware. If the bathroom is dirty, it could be a signal that the kitchen is dirty too. Be smart and observe your surroundings. Also, wash your hands before, during and after eating at a restaurant establishment. Hear more in this story on a recent Katie Curie Show.
