If you look closely at the bags, you will see each sample is individually stickered. We take the process of receiving samples very seriously. The lab numbers are cross-checked with the sample submittal forms to insure the samples are in the proper order. In addition, samples sent in multiple boxes are grouped together by company to insure samples are accounted for across boxes.
To insure the proper submittal of samples, it really is imperative that paperwork be checked and recorded with respect to the analysis being performed and the identification on the sheet matches the identification on the bag.
The soil testing process starts in the laboratory with the receiving room. If paperwork is unclear or does not match with information on the soil bags, there could be delays in getting the soil samples entered and analyzed in a timely manner.
If you have any questions, please call and talk to a representative at Midwest Laboratories. We want to insure your sample turnaround time is 2-3 days.
Thanks for your cooperation!
