Our laboratory offers many different analyses for growers, ag retailers, and crop consultants to maximize yields and economic returns. This document provides an overview of analyses useful for crop production in a typical Midwestern corn-corn or corn-soybean rotation system. Many of the topics covered can be applied to other crops and environments. Emphasis will be on how the information from individual tests is helpful in crop management strategies. Specifically, in soil fertility, plant tissue, stalk nitrate, manure, fertilizer, and lime analysis.
