Metals

The metals lab opened in 1975. Initially built to run tests on soil and plant extractions using Atomic Absorption (AA) to Inductively Coupled Plasma (ICP). The objective was to help our clients better identify and quantify the individual elements or isotopes that make the sample.

Today the metals lab runs analysis from boron to zirconium and heavy toxic metals such as mercury, arsenic, and lead. With over 90 years of experience working with an extensive list of critical technologies, ICPMS, X-Ray, and ICP, we are relied upon for our ability to advise on what's natural or out of range. Fifteen years ago we started testing heavy metals in food, officially the United States Pharmacopeia (USP) just started using this testing method in 2018.

Who we support:

  • Production managers - crop, fertilizer, feed, food
